Learn to Play Bridge at Any Age!

Lyde McReynolds

Bridge is a delightful card game that is sociable, intellectually challenging, and competitive, all at the same time. The beauty of bridge is that one keeps learning new skills and techniques throughout one's life, which is why it is a recommended pastime for those who want to keep their minds sharp, since each new deal of the deck of cards provides a new challenge to solve. It never becomes stale, which is why it has been the game of choice for so many people of all ages for over a century. It is low in cost and increases social opportunities, providing players with the chance to meet other people, travel, and make new friends.

The mission of the Monterey Bridge Educational Foundation is to promote and support the game of bridge in the Monterey Peninsula area by providing classes that will draw in new players, helping existing players improve their knowledge through lessons and mentoring, and providing safe dedicated facilities to play the game, thereby enhancing community relations and goodwill and contributing to the longevity and well-being of the community.

The Foundation welcomes donations to support this endeavor. Since it is a 501(c)(3) organization, all donations are tax-deductible.

The Foundation works in close association with the Monterey Bridge Center where bridge games and lessons are hosted at its premises at 201B Calle Del Oaks, Del Rey Oaks CA 93940 (831-747-1650). The Monterey Bridge Center is the home of Unit 530 of District 21 of the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL)
